Chapeltown is a suburb in the northern part of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, about five miles from the city centre. The population of the Chapeltown and Ecclesfield area is around 30,000. The town sits close to junction 35 of the M1, which is effectively where the M1 begins its run south to London. Historically, Chapeltown was part of the Ecclesfield parish and had ironworking connections. Chapeltown Park provides green space in the centre, and the surrounding area includes Grenoside and High Green to the north.
