Fylde is the borough between Blackpool and Preston on the Lancashire coast, covering Lytham, St Annes, Kirkham, Wesham, Freckleton, and Warton. The population is around 80,000. Lytham St Annes is the main town: quieter, wealthier, and more residential than Blackpool to the north. Royal Lytham and St Annes Golf Club, a regular Open Championship host, is the area's most recognised name internationally. Fylde sits between the M55 (connecting to the M6) and the coast.
